GAMBLING FLASK BALL PYTHON

cupflasksnake (3).jpg

This double stained ball python is housed in a vintage flask. The body of the snake curves throughout the flask, mimicking the true movement of these snakes in life. The space in the flask is fully utilized, though the negative space contrasts and emphasizes the snake’s curved body. The tissues have been made clear to observe the sharply stained skeleton. The blue cartilage tips the edge of the ribs and vertebrae, and the throat is visible and fixed to the body. The purple bone stain highlights the many vertebrae that make up that snake’s stricture.

The specimen comes with a special gold cup which hides a game of dice on vintage printed paper. The gold cup can be used to display the specimen or can be displayed freestanding.

The specimen has been meticulously double stained and processed over 8 months, allowing for that same Nighttime Nicholas quality that is offered to museums worldwide. This piece is one-of-a-kind and will not be reproduced and cannot be replicated.

This specimen now lives in London. Ontario.
