URN SNAKE

This double stained snake has been diligently processed over 8 months. The specimen sits inside an urn, giving this piece a substantial weight. The unique positioning allows for the specimen’s full skeletal structure to be observed.

Some unique notes about this piece are the skin that remains on the snake’s head and the broken and healed ribs. The large masses in the ribs are where breaks have occurred and healed. The blue rope-like tube that protrudes from the snake’s neck is the wind-pipe, which illuminates with a vibrant blue to denote its cartilaginous structure.

This specimen now lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
